Golden State Warriors 105, Cleveland Cavaliers 95

The Warriors outscored the Cavs 24-16 in the 4th quarter last Tuesday Night to down the Cavs. David Lee led the way for the Warriors in this game with 29 points, 9 rebounds and 3 assists. Nate Robinson also had a great game against the Cavs with 17 points, 2 rebounds, 10 assists and 2 steals. Brandon Rush (14 points, 5 rebounds and 2 assists) and Klay Thompson (14 points, 1 rebound, 2 assists and 1 steal) also had solid games for the Warriors. Dorell Wright only shot 4 of 11 from the floor as he finished up with 10 points, 2 rebounds and 3 assists. Monta Ellis only shot 2 of 12 from the floor as he finished up with 10 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 steals. The Warriors are now 5-8 on the year.

Golden State Warriors 99, Detroit Pistons 91

The Warriors shot 52.1% from the floor tonight and they outrebounded the Pistons 43-32, which helps explain the nice road win. David Lee (24 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 blocked shots) and Monta Ellis (22 points, 2 rebounds and 7 assists) led the way for the Warriors in this game. Brandon Rush (12 points, 3 rebounds and 1 assist), Dorell Wright (11 points, 11 rebounds, 2 assists and 3 steals), Nate Robinson (10 points, 2 rebounds, 3 assists and 1 steal) and Ekpe Udoh (10 points, 6 rebounds, 3 steals and 4 blocked shots) also pitched in with solid games tonight. The Warriors are now 4-8 on the year.

Charlotte Bobcats 112, Golden State Warriors 100

The Warriors didn’t play much D tonight as the Bobcats shot 50% from the floor and it did them in. David Lee led the way for the Warriors tonight with 24 points, 16 rebounds, 3 assists and 1 blocked shot. Monta Ellis only shot 6 of 26 from the floor tonight, but, he somehow finished up with 18 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists and 1 steal. Dorell Wright (12 points and 3 rebounds) and Nate Robinson (12 points, 1 rebound, 3 assists and 2 steals also pitched in tonight for the Warriors. The Warriors are now 3-8 on the year.

The Golden State Warriors sign center Earl Barron

The Warriors have signed 30-year old center Earl Barron. Barron played in 12 games (6 starts) for the Suns & Bucks lasst year and he averaged 15.3 minutes, 3.0 points, 3.3 rebounds and 0.3 assists per game. He has now played in 110 games (28 starts) in his NBA career and he is averaging 15.2 minutes, 5.1 points, 3.7 rebounds and 0.5 assists per game. The Warriors needed another center with Kwame Brown getting injured and they were lucky to find Barron still available.

The Golden State Warriors release Ishmael Smith

The Warriors have released 23-year old point guard Ishmael Smith. Smith played in 6 games (1 start) for the Warriors this year and he averaged 10.5 minutes, 4.5 points, 1.5 rebounds and 0.7 assists per game. He has now played in 49 games (4 starts) in his first two years in the NBA and he is averaging 10.3 minutes, 2.6 points, 1.1 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game. Smith has only shot 37.9% from the floor in his NBA career. The Warriors won’t miss Smith now that they have Nate Robinson, who is off to a good start.
