The Golden State Warriors sign F/C Mikki Moore

The Warriors have signed 36-year old PF/C Mikki Moore. Moore last played in the NBA during the 2009-10 season with the Warriors. He has now played in 557 games (181 starts) in his NBA career so far and he is averaging 18.2 minutes, 5.8 points, 3.9 rebounds and 0.7 assists per game. Moore will give the Warriors another big body, and he will likely get right onto the court due to the rash of injuries along the frontline.

The Golden State Warriors lose Richard Jefferson indefinitely

The Warriors are likely going to shut down 31-year old small forward Richard Jefferson for the rest of the season due to a knee injury. Jefferson has played in 17 games (0 starts) for the Warriors so far this year and he is averaging 26.8 minutes, 9.7 points, 3.5 rebounds and 1.5 assists per game. Jefferson might break into the Warriors starting lineup next season.

The Warriors didn’t play much D as the Clippers shot 54.3% from the floor and it did them in yesterday. Nate Robinson (28 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists) and Klay Thompson (24 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists and 4 steals) led the way for the Warriors yesterday. Dorell Wright (23 points, 7 rebounds, 1 assist and 1 steal) and Brandon Rush (22 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 3 steals) also had rock solid games for the Warriors in this game. The Warriors are now 22-37 on the year.

The Golden State Warriors lose David Lee indefinitely

The Warriors could be without 28-year old power forward David Lee for the rest of the year due to a groin injury. Lee has played in 57 games (all starts) for the Warriors so far this year and he is averaging 37.2 minutes, 20.1 points, 9.6 rebounds and 2.8 assists per game. He has now played in 130 games (all starts) in his first two years with the Warriors and he is averaging 36.6 minutes, 18.1 points, 9.7 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game. This injury is going to really hurt the Warriors as they have no one that can replace what Lee does for them both offensively and rebounding.

Nate Robinson has been quite a find for the Golden State Warriors

He has played in 8 games (0 starts) for the Warriors so far this April and he is averaging 23.3 minutes, 12.8 points, 1.4 rebounds, 5.8 assists and 1.0 steal per game. Robinson is shooting 46.6% from the floor and 45.7% from the three point line, so Robinson is clicking on all cylinders right now. Robinson has now played in 49 games (9 starts) for the Warriors overall this year and he is averaging 23.0 minutes, 10.4 points, 1.9 rebounds, 4.4 assists and 1.2 steals per game. The Warriors expect Robinson to finish the season strongly.
