Blogged under The Draft Report, General, Bloglockers, Big Warriors News, Front Page, Injuries by alleyoop on Thursday 24 June 2010 at 7:12 pm

The Warriors have picked 23-year old power forward Ekpe Udoh with the sixth overall pick of the NBA Draft. Udoh is a big guy at 6′10″, 240 pounds and he will be throwing his weight around for the Warriors. Udoh played in 36 games (all starts) for Baylor last season and he averaged 13.9 points, 9.8 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 3.7 blocked shots per game. He finished up his time in college (3 years) playing in 103 games (67 starts) in which he averaged 8.4 points, 6.3 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 2.8 blocked shots per game. Udoh should start from day #1 for the Warriors giving them solid defense and rebounding.

UPDATE: The Warriors will be without rookie power forward Ekpe Udoh for the next six months due to wrist surgery.
