The Golden State Warriors lose Andris Biedrins for a while

Blogged under General, Bloglockers, Big Warriors News, Front Page, Injuries by alleyoop on Tuesday 2 March 2010 at 12:32 pm

23-year old center Andris Biedrins is out indefinitely with a groin injury. Biedrins is also in Don Nelson’s Dog House for some reasons. Biedrins has played in 33 games (29 starts) for the Warriors this season and he is averaging 23.1 minutes, 5.0 points, 7.8 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.3 blocked shots per game. Anthony Tolliver will likely get the biggest bump in minutes with Biedrins on the shelf. Tolliver has played in 20 games (9 starts) for the Warriors this season and he is averaging 27.5 minutes, 10.0 points, 6.1 rebounds and 1.5 assists per game. The Warriors need him to keep up the good work.

UPDATE: Andris Biedrins has underwent abdominal surgery recently which will cause him to miss the remainder of the season.
