Blogged under General, Bloglockers, Big Warriors News, Front Page, Injuries by alleyoop on Friday 18 December 2009 at 10:31 am

The Warriors have lost C/F Mikki Moore indefinitely due to recent surgery he has had to remove bone spurs in his heel. Moore has played in 23 games (20 starts) this season for the Warriors and he is averaging 17.7 minutes, 5.0 points, 3.0 rebounds and 1.6 assists per game. The Warriors should be able to cover for Moore while he is out of action.

UPDATE: Moore will miss the next three months of the season.

Monta Ellis dropped 35 points on the San Antonio Spurs (13-10), but it wasn’t enough to get the win for the Golden State Warriors (7-18).  He added 6 assists and 5 rebounds but he didn’t get very much help from his teammates on offense.  Corey Maggette was the only other Warriors’ player to play well offensively, finishing with 21 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 assists.  Rebounding was the big problem for the Warriors though, as the Spurs beat them 54-34 on the boards.  Tim Duncan led the Spurs with 27 points and 15 rebounds.  The small Warrior lineups make it difficult for them to rebound the ball well, but they still need to do a better job on the boards.
