The Warriors laid an egg last night by shooting only 39.1% from the floor while the Lakers shot 54.3% which helps explain the final score. Monta Ellis led the way for the Warriors again last night with 18 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Corey Maggette pitched in with 17 points, 6 rebounds and 1 assist in a rare start. Anthony Morrow was solid off the bench for the Warriors last night with 15 points, 5 rebounds and 1 assist in 28 minutes. The Warriors are now 5-10 on the season.

Monta Ellis is simply playing too good for the Golden State Warriors to trade him

Monta Ellis wants out of town but he has been playing out of his mind so far this season. It would not be good for the Warriors to trade Ellis right now because they need him. Ellis has played in 14 games (all starts) for the Warriors so far this season and he is averaging 39.6 minutes, 23.4 points, 4.4 rebounds, 5.5 assists and 2.5 steals per game. I just don’t think that the Warriors would get fair value for Ellis right now due to how well he is playing. The team can’t afford to just dump Ellis like they did with Jackson.

San Antonio Spurs 118, Golden State Warriors 104

The Warriors didn’t play any defense last night as the Spurs shot 51.8% which explains the loss. Monta Ellis led the way for the Warriors last night with 42 points, 4 rebounds, 4 assists and 3 steals. Corey Maggette pitched in with 14 points, 3 rebounds and 2 assists in 27 minutes off the bench. Anthony Randolph also had a decent game with 12 points, 7 rebounds and 3 blocked shots in 27 minutes last night. The Warriors are now 5-9 on the year.

The Warriors only played six players in Dallas last night but they dug deep and outscored the Mavericks 33-21 in the 4th quarter to pull out a great road win. Monta Ellis might have turned the ball over 11 times last night but he still scored 37 points, grabbed 4 rebounds, dished out 8 assists and he stole the ball 4 times as he played all 48 minutes. Anthony Morrow also played in every minute last night for the Warriors as he finished up with 27 points, 9 rebounds, 5 assists and 3 steals. Stephen Curry had a good game last night for the Warriors with 18 points, 4 rebounds, 6 assists and 3 steals. Vladimir Radmanovic also played every minute last night as he finished up with 14 points, 12 rebounds and 4 steals. The Warriors are now 5-8 on the year.

The Warriors were outrebounded as usual last night but it didn’t matter in the end as they got a nice win at home against a good ball team. Monta Ellis stuffed the stat sheet for the Warriors last night with 34 points, 2 rebounds, 8 assists, 6 steals and 2 blocked shots. Anthony Morrow had another solid game for the Warriors last night with 23 points, 6 rebounds and 2 steals. Anthony Randolph was also busy last night with 15 points, 11 rebounds, 3 steals and 2 blocked shots. The Warriors are now 4-8 on the year.
