The Warriors have signed 34-year old forward Chris Webber for the rest of the season. Webber played in 61 games (60 starts) last season for the Sixers and Pistons and he averaged 29.9 minutes, 11.2 points, 7.2 rebounds and 3.1 assists per game. Webber has now played in 822 games (819 starts) in his NBA career and he is averaging 37.4 minutes, 20.9 points, 9.8 rebounds, 4.3 assists, 1.5 steals and 1.5 blocks per game. This was a good signing for the Warriors as long as Webber can keep up with the frantic pace of the Warriors on both sides of the basketball court.

The fact that the Warriors shot 50.6% from the floor trumped the fact that the Nets outrebounded them 60-40. Monta Ellis led the way for the Warriors with 39 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists and 3 steals. Baron Davis was outstanding in running the offense with 25 points, 12 rebounds, 10 assists and 5 steals. Al Harrington chipped in with 19 points and 2 rebounds off of the bench. The Warriors improved to 26-18 on the season with this win.
