Al Harrington will be the Warriors sixth man this season and he can handle either forward position and the center spot. He played in 78 games (all starts) for the Warriors and Pacers last season and he averaged 32.9 minutes, 16.5 points, 6.4 rebounds and 1.9 assists per game. Harrington also is a deadly shooter from anywhere on the court as he hit 45.7% of his shots from the floor and 43.3% from three point range. Rookie Marco Belinelli will back up Monta Ellis this season and he was impressive in the NBA’s summer leagues. Matt Barnes returns to back up at small forward for the Warriors. He played in 76 games (23 starts) last season for the Warriors and he averaged 23.9 minutes, 9.8 points, 4.6 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 1.0 steal per game. Troy Hudson will back up Baron Davis at point guard and he’s a really good energy player off of the bench. He played in 34 games (6 starts) for the T-Wolves last season and he averaged 16.3 minutes, 5.9 points, 1.4 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game. Veteran Austin Croshere was brought in by the Warriors to give them a little bit of muscle off of the bench. He played in 61 games (2 starts) last season for the Mavericks and he averaged 11.9 minutes, 3.7 points, 3.0 rebounds and 0.7 assists per game. 2nd year player Kelenna Azubuike was quite a find for the Warriors as he shot 43% from three point range last season. He played in 41 games (9 starts) for the Warriors last season and he averaged 16.3 minutes, 7.1 points, 2.3 rebounds and 0.7 assists per game. Rookie Brandan Wright was acquired from the Bobcats in the off-season in the Jason Richardson trade and he might need a little time to adjust to the NBA, but he will fit in well with the Warriors as he gets up and down the basketball court quickly.

The Warriors plan to begin running the second they get off of the bus to put pressure on the opposing defense. Point guard Baron Davis is the key to the attack so the Warriors must keep him healthy. Davis played in 63 games (62 starts) last season for the Warriors and he averaged 35.3 minutes, 20.1 points, 4.4 rebounds, 8.1 assists and 2.1 steals per game. Monta Ellis will likely be the starting shooting guard for the Warriors this season. He played in 77 games (53 starts) last season for the Warriors and he averaged 34.3 minutes, 16.5 points, 3.2 rebounds, 4.1 assists and 1.7 steals per game. Mickael Pietrus will start at one of the forward spots and he’s an outstanding defensive player which is rare on the Warriors’ roster. Pietrus played in 72 games (38 starts) last season for the Warriors and he averaged 26.9 minutes, 11.1 points, 4.5 rebounds and 0.9 assists per game. Stephen Jackson will miss the first 7 games of the season due to a suspension but he will start at one of the forward spots when he returns. He played in 75 games (69 starts) for the Pacers & Warriors last season and he averaged 33.1 minutes, 15.5 points, 3.0 rebounds, 3.8 assists and 1.1 steals per game. Center Andris Biedrins improved big-time in his second season in the NBA. He played in 82 games (63 starts) and he averaged 29.0 minutes, 9.5 points, 9.3 rebounds, 1.1 assists and 1.7 blocks per game.

The Warriors have re-signed Mickael Pietrus and it was a smart move. Pietrus had his best season of his NBA career last season as he played in 72 games (38 starts) and he averaged 26.9 minutes, 11.1 points, 4.5 rebounds and 0.9 assists per game. For his career now, Pietrus has played in 244 games (81 starts) for the Warriors and he has averaged 9.0 points, 3.3 rebounds and 0.9 assists per game. He also is a very solid defensive player.
